The Promoting Effect of Organic Fertilizer Equipment on Straw Fermentation
Release time:2026-07-27 Views:14 Sources:Taian Hongxin Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd

The history of converting straw into organic fertilizer through fermentation for agricultural use is long-standing, providing ample nutrients for agricultural development. However, organic fertilizer equipment has accelerated the fermentation process of straw into organic fertilizer, enhancing production efficiency and quality, increasing output capacity, and driving rapid industrial growth. Today, Taian Hongxin Environmental Protection Technology will explain the role of organic fertilizer equipment in promoting straw fermentation:

How is traditional straw fermentation achieved

Traditional crop straw composting techniques involve long fermentation periods, poor fermentation efficiency, and rudimentary equipment, making them suitable for small-scale applications. High-temperature composting includes two methods: windrow composting and trench composting. The straw fermentation process involves: first, crushing the straw with a shredder without over-processing, then adjusting factors such as moisture content, carbon-to-nitrogen ratio, and pH. Raw material proportioning is key to enhancing fertilizer efficacy, with an optimal carbon-to-nitrogen ratio of 25:1 for microbial growth. Therefore, regulating the carbon-to-nitrogen ratio in composting materials is an effective measure to accelerate decomposition and improve humification coefficients. Common preparation methods include adding phosphate fertilizers, lime, or manure. Straw must be thoroughly moistened with sufficient water to achieve a moisture content of 60%–70%, which is critical to the success of composting. Without microbial inoculants, the compost pile typically requires about 40 days of sealing in summer, during which the internal temperature can rise to 50–60°C. After the high-temperature phase, the pile can be turned internally and externally. The criteria for complete decomposition are: black, rotten, and foul-smelling, meaning the straw turns brown or dark brown, becomes soft and elastic when wet, and brittle and easily crumbles when dry.

2. Organic fertilizer equipment plays a promoting role in straw fermentation.

Utilize large-scale, efficient organic fertilizer fermentation equipment and biochemical technology to accelerate the decomposition of crop straw. This involves using a fast-ripening accelerator and employing the method of turning and fermenting with fermentation equipment to increase the temperature and speed of composting, thereby shortening the composting cycle. Typically, 1 kilogram of the accelerator is added per ton of straw, along with mixed livestock manure (or 5 kilograms of urea) to meet the nitrogen requirements for microbial fermentation. The production of complete sets of organic fertilizer fermentation equipment is employed for trough-style turning and fermentation. This enhances fermentation efficiency, shortens the fermentation cycle, and increases production capacity.

The above is an introduction to the role of organic fertilizer equipment in promoting straw fermentation.
