Typical adjustment process (taking drum type as an example)
Determine the target film thickness and solid content of the coating agent, and calculate the total amount of coating agent required per unit material.
Set the feeding flow rate and drum speed/inclination angle to form a stable rolling material layer.
The variable frequency metering pump sprays the coating agent according to the ratio and synchronously opens the hot air drying.
Sample and test the film thickness and uniformity, adjust the dosage, speed or hot air parameters until they meet the standard.
If a thicker film layer is required, multi segment coating or cyclic coating can be used.
Key precautions
The thicker the film, the better. Excessive thickness can increase costs and may affect nutrient release; If it is too thin, the protective and slow-release effects will be insufficient.
Uneven particle size, fluctuating viscosity of coating agent, and poor atomization can easily lead to uneven film thickness. It is necessary to first control the incoming particle size and coating agent formula.
Fluidized bed can achieve high-precision coating of thin layers, suitable for controlled-release fertilizers with strict requirements for film thickness; The rotary drum is suitable for large-scale production and can achieve thick film through compartmentalization and multi-layer spraying.
